Lake Havasu City Justice Court:
The Lake Havasu City Justice Court is located at 2001 College Drive in Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 and is housed in the Lake Havasu Consolidated Court. It is a court of limited jurisdiction which handles civil traffic, small claims cases, orders of protection, and all misdemeanor cases. Felony proceedings can be initiated in the justice court and scheduled for preliminary hearing prior to being transferred to the Superior Court. Misdemeanor cases generally consist of infractions or violations that occur outside the city limits in the unincorporated areas of Mohave County (Desert Hills, Havasu Heights, Lake Havasu State Park). Criminal cases are prosecuted by the Mohave County Attorney's Office.
Lake Havasu City Municipal Court:
The Lake Havasu City Municipal Court is located at 2001 College Drive in Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 and is housed in the Lake Havasu Consolidated Court. It is a court of limited jurisdiction which handles civil traffic, orders of protection, and misdemeanor cases. The court does not handle felony cases. Misdemeanor cases (DUI, Domestic Violence, Petty Theft) are limited to infractions or violations that occur within the city limits of Lake Havasu City. Criminal cases are prosecuted by the Lake Havasu City Attorney's Office.
Parker Justice Court:
The Parker Justice Court is located at1105 W Arizona Ave, Parker, AZ 85344. It is a court of limited jurisdiction which handles civil traffic, small claims cases, orders of protection, and all misdemeanor cases. Felony proceedings can be initiated in the justice court and scheduled for preliminary hearing prior to being transferred to the Superior Court. Misdemeanor cases generally consist of infractions or violations that occur outside the city limits in the unincorporated areas of La Paz County. Criminal cases are prosecuted by the La Paz County Attorney's Office.
Parker Magistrate Court:
The Parker Magistrate Court is located at 1314 11th Street Parker, AZ 85344 it is a court of limited jurisdiction which handles civil traffic, orders of protection, and misdemeanor cases. The court does not handle felony cases. Misdemeanor cases (DUI, Domestic Violence, Petty Theft) are limited to infractions or violations that occur within the town limits of Parker Arizona. Criminal cases are prosecuted by special prosecutor/private attorney, Heather Wellborn.
La Paz County Superior Court:
The La Paz County Superior Court is located at 1316 S Kofa Ave # 607, Parker, AZ 85344. The La Paz County Superior Court is a court of general jurisdiction which handles all civil and criminal matters, including felony offenses committed in La Paz County. Criminal cases are usually prosecuted by the La Paz County Attorney's Office.
Mohave County Superior Court:
The Mohave County Superior Court has locations throughout Mohave County and including Lake Havasu City, however, all felony criminal cases are heard at the Mohave County Court House in Kingman, Arizona at 401 E. Spring St. The Mohave County Superior Court is a court of general jurisdiction which handles all civil and criminal matters, including felony offenses committed in Mohave County. Criminal cases are usually prosecuted by the Mohave County Attorney's Office.
U.S. District Court of Arizona:
The U.S. District Court of Arizona has several locations in Arizona. Federal cases that occur in Lake Havasu City are usually heard in the circuit court at the Mohave County Superior Court (Courtroom E) 401 Spring St. Kingman, AZ. The circuit court usually hears offenses that consist of misdemeanor infractions (OUI, operating a boat while under the influence) that occur on Federal Land including the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge and the Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge. Criminal cases are prosecuted by the United State's Attorney's Office, District of Arizona.
